Overall height includes the backing. Effective trim length is the exposed filament from the channel to its tip. State both; do not quote an ambiguous “brush height”.
Read the guideChoosing a sealing material family
List every medium, temperature range and exposure duration. Then define motion, closed gap, compression and expected service conditions. Choose a material family only after this information is available.

Define whether the brush wipes, guides or limits dust. List the contacted surface, allowable marking, medium, moisture, temperature and working deflection.
